The first boats are past the line in Bornholm

31.07.08

The winds have not exactly been strong, but they were strong enough to push the first yachts past the finish line at Rønne, Bornholm earlier today. First past the line was Scho-ka-kola, followed by Ambersail, then overall Racing Class leader Danebury.

TV2 in Bornholm was there at the finish line as the first boats arrived home – if you’re on Bornholm, look for the story on the 19.30 newscast tonight.

The final leg is expected to be the longest in terms of total sailing time, as continued light winds mean many boats still heading towards Bornholm have quite some ways to go to the finish line.
