The overall lead remains up for grabs
In the first racing class, Outsider and Danebury are neck and neck for the overall lead. In the second racing class, Summer Wine, with the current overall lead sounds confident moving into the final legs of the race.

The upcoming Bank DnB NORD Off Shore Racing Day – 2 Round-the-Buoy races in the Gulf of Gdansk – set to go tomorrow, certainly has the potential to play a significant role in determining the overall winners in each division and class.

Some thoughts on the regatta so far...
“We’re certainly pleased with the race so far”, said Skipper Stefan Qviberg of Summer Wine, a 39 foot Arcona 400 which he himself designed. “This is our first time participating in the Baltic Sprint Cup. After seeing the race stand several times at the Hansa Boat Show in Hamburg, this year we decided to go for it and we’ve been really pleased, both with our results and with the overall race management."

And what has been the secret of Summer Wine's success?

"We’ve kept the same crew for the entire race, and there has been some exciting sailing - we’ve had 2 victories. The second leg from Karlskrona to Klaipeda was trickier with some calm weather. We took a northerly course and gained as a result. For the 3rd leg we found ourselves following the ‘main road’, but overall we’re doing well. We’re looking forward to the coming leeward legs of the race – we like that sort of racing!", says Stefan Qviberg.
