Ambersail came in second

Coming in at 111 nautical miles, the Klaipeda-Gdynia leg is a relatively short one compared to the first 2 legs of the race, which each averaged approximately 200 nautical miles.

After a sunny day at sea, the first boat home in Gdynia was Tilmar Hansen’s speedy Outsider, followed closely by Gerhard Clausen’s 82-foot Calypso and the Lithuanian Ambersail.

By sunrise, it’s expected that most, if not all, of the fleet will have arrived in Gdynia. Next up will day of round-the-buoy racing in the Gulf of Gdansk, which will take place on Wednesday.
